Alex G. Powers

Bio:

Right Worshipful Brother Alex G. Powers is an active fifth generation Freemason based out of Area nine, under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Kansas. He is a Past Master of Gardner Lodge No. 65 as well as the Lodge Historian. Brother Powers is also serving two Grand Lodge appointments as District Deputy Grand Master as well as his second term as Director of the Kansas Lodge of Research (KSLOR). While an avid student of various mysteries and rites, Masonic history sparked a deep lying interest in Brother Powers, that has in many ways deepened his connection to the fraternity. In addition to his first book, A History of Gardner Masonic Lodge, being published he is also the host and producer of Historical Light, a YouTube Show and Audio Podcast devoted to illuminating Masonic History. He also regularly promotes, mentors, and lectures on Masonic topics, including practical applications for Historical preservation.
