The Unyielding Carle Woodruff, Founding Master by Herbert F. Merrick
Brother Merrick charts the history of a colorful and unyielding Union Army field commander Carle Woodruff through the Battle of Gettysburg during the U.S. Civil War. Brother Woodruff later founded Hancock Lodge #311 on Fort Leavenworth and served as it charter Worshipful Master. His achievements gave rise to the only continuously operating lodge still active on a military installation.
