Studying Symbolism in Blue Lodge Masonry

Brother Merrick provides insight on his path to discovering the meaning behind the symbolism seen in and around Blue Lodge Masonry. He shares several of his sources and mechanisms for “peeling the onion” as each symbol reveals some of its secrets. This is the catalyst for providing materials for his lectures on symbolism by degrees that he has provide to an appreciate and growing audience at his home lodge and Scottish Rite valley.
The crux of Brother Merrick’s thesis is that there is a great richness mined when a Mason is willing to go beyond the monitorial lectures of ritual and make Masonry not an end, but a continuing pursuit.
